Anne was the former CEO of AT&T Business, and the company’s first woman of color CEO in its 140-plus-year history, responsible for leading a $35 billion global operating unit comprising more than 35,000 people. She is a transformative business leader whose trailblazing corporate career spans over three decades in the technology and business sectors. Appointed to the position in 2019, she guided her team through the pandemic amid unprecedented market upheaval around the world, serving customers with communications solutions across all sectors and nearly all of the Fortune 1000. 

Anne is named to Fortune’s Most Powerful Women in Business (2X), Forbes’ inaugural CEO Next list of leaders, and Thinkers360’s Top B2B Women Thought Leaders. She was also named the Most Inspiring Woman in Communications by Light Reading. She is currently Lead Director on the Board of Directors of FranklinCovey and also serves on the Boards of Directors of 3M and CSX. Anne is an Executive Fellow and Adjunct Professor at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and the national bestselling author of Lead Bigger: The Transformative Power of Inclusion, published by Simon & Schuster.

Anne is recognized by WomenInc. as one of the Most Influential Women Corporate Board Directors; the L. Joseph Thomas Leadership Award for Lifetime Achievement from Cornell University’s Johnson School, its highest honor for distinguished alumni; and the Dallas Business Journal’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Women. She also became the first leader of Asian descent inducted into the Dallas Business Hall of Fame since its inception in 1999.

She is also co-author of the bestselling book The Leader’s Guide to Unconscious Bias: How to Reframe Bias, Cultivate Connection, and Create High-Performing Teams.

Anne holds B.S. and M.Eng. degrees in electrical engineering and an MBA with distinction from Cornell University. She is also a graduate of the Pre-College Division of the Juilliard School of Music.
